If you’re passionate about sports and want to make it your career, UFR STAPS Rouen is the place to be. You’ll learn just as much on the field as in the classroom, with expert instructors and a curriculum that opens up a wide range of opportunities.
Several STAPS (Sciences and Techniques of Physical and Sports Activities) bachelor’s programs are available, depending on your career goals:
Physical Education and Motor Skills
Sports Coaching
Sports Management
Adapted Physical Activity and Health
The faculty also offers a professional bachelor’s degree and Master’s programs if you want to continue your studies further.
For a bachelor’s degree in STAPS, applications go through Parcoursup, so make sure your application is strong. For Master’s programs, you’ll apply directly through the university’s website. Pay close attention to deadlines and put care into your motivation letter.
With a STAPS degree, you can become a PE teacher, coach, fitness trainer, or even a sports manager. If you’re interested in the health sector, the Adapted Physical Activity track prepares you to work with people in rehabilitation or with disabilities.
You’ll need a high school diploma—and a good level of physical fitness, since it’s not just theory. The courses include a lot of practical work. This field of study also requires dedication and effort, but if you’re passionate, go for it.
